Leadership – We are excited about the leadership that God is bringing to this congregation. In I Corinthians 12:7 we read, “Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.” We ask that people in positions of leadership:

  • Have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ and be committed to that relationship, seeking to live in obedience to the scriptures.
  • Be committed to the growth of Grace Community Church and its obedience to Jesus Christ.
  • Be imperfect and willing to learn. We know that God has gifted everyone and desires our best, but He doesn’t require perfection. What God wants most is a heart willing to serve and grow.
  • Respond to that which God calls them to do in cooperation with others in the church. (We do not wish to burn people out!)

Children – Kidz Connection is our Sunday morning program for children in grades K-5. Our goal is to help kids learn how to walk in God’s ways through a variety of methods including: scripture, lessons, singing, movement, games, puppets, crafts, and hands-on activities. Check out the “events” on our homepage for the current schedule.

Nursery Care – Nursery care is provided for babies through age four during the Sunday Morning worship services. Nursery Ministry Page

Men’s Group – Saturday Breakfast – Hosted by Pastor Dick Glasgow.  A time for men to enjoy breakfast and fellowship together around tables and God’s Word.

Men’s Group – G.O.O.S.E. (Grace Outdoors Outreach Series of Events) – Designed to provide informative and fun outdoor related activities.  While fellowship is definitely an aspect of G.O.O.S.E. it is an expected offshoot of just plain having fun.  G.O.O.S.E. tries to shoot for 1 activity per month and is open to everyone.  The men’s group is the primary planning body and many events have happened since its inception this year.

Women of Grace – Our desire is for lifelong friendships to be made as we experience the reality of God in our lives through Bible study, prayer, fellowship and service.  We are women coming together to glorify the Lord, bear fruit and shepherd others as they become wholehearted followers of Jesus Christ.  What We Offer:  — Women’s Bible Studies are held throughout the year, with a goal of helping women grow in their relationship with the Lord.  They are facilitated by group members. — Women of Grace Gatherings are held periodically throughout the year.  These events provide an atmosphere of genuine warmth, encouragement and acceptance as we fellowship and get to know each other. — Women’s Coffees are held the fourth Wednesday of each month.  Locations will be announced.  — Sister’s-In-Christ Teas/Brunches are held each year.  This offers an opportunity to invite guests as an outreach ministry.  –– Craft/Scrapbooking Groups are held the second Friday of each month at the church.

Middle and High School Youth Group – We hold meetings during the month for combined Middle and High School Youth on Sunday evenings (6pm), which include a combination of fun and study. There are also special activities, trips, and meetings just for High School Youth. Check out the News page for the latest schedule.

Church Library – Grace has a growing church library.  We seek to be a support and resource to help people become whole hearted followers of Jesus Christ by making available donated Christian materials that advance the study of God’s Word, stimulate Christian growth, promote missions, and provide spiritually uplifting leisure reading.  Friends and members of Grace Community Church and their families are welcome to check out materials.  There are no fines or deadlines on borrowed materials.  Book donations are welcomed.  See Robin Sutherland with any questions.

Jail Library Ministry – We accept book donations for the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center Library program.  Both secular and Christian materials are needed.  Books must be in paperback format without staples.  Inmates often request dictionaries, Left Behind Series books, and materials written in Spanish.  Please see Robin Sutherland with any questions.

Small Groups – Small groups for women, men, and couples meet for specific periods of time. New groups will be forming. For more info, contact Pastor Pat.

Friendship Building & Recreation – Coffee & refreshments follow the worship services on Sunday Mornings.  Watch for special events such as picnics, ice cream socials, and potlucks.  Family hikes, camping, and skiing are among some of our interests!

Caring Hearts Ministry is the congregational care ministry of Grace Community Church.  Our goal is to build relationships with the people in our care.  We also wish to foster a caring community to include all of the people of our church to serve Christ by caring and serving each other, especially in times of need.

GCC Missions Committee meets monthly to work toward the goal of obeying Jesus’ Great Commission, to go and make disciples of all nations. We work to raise awareness and interest in God’s work through his people across the globe, whether feeding orphans in Sudan, providing Christian books to pastors in China, giving out gospel tracts door-to-door along the Amazon River, or helping neighbors in Eastern Colorado. God is at work in our world today, and it is our privilege to contribute our prayers and other resources to the ministries we at GCC have been called to support.  For more information contact a Missions Committee Member:  Hope Peckham:  hapeckham@Q.com or John Campbell:  johnscampbell3@gmail.com  “…that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth…”  Philippians 2:10
