I enlisted in the Air Force when I was 18 and served 6 years on active duty. I then worked 4 1/2 years as a civilian for the Air Force. After quitting that job, I went back to college and graduated in 1986 with a Bachelors of Applied Mathematics from California State University, Sacramento, CA. I worked for the Navy for 9 months and then went to seminary. I graduated from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, VA in 1990. I was pastor from June, 1990 until January, 1999 of Bristol Presbyterian Church and First Presbyterian Church of Lamar, both in Southeast Colorado. I currently am the co-chair of the college prep math department and have taught college prep math at Pikes Peak Community College since August, 1999. I am Clerk of Session at Grace as well as an Associate Pastor.
Debbie and I were married August 18, 1973 and we have three children and 8 grandchildren.
